How do I send an SMS using Apifonica?

Briefly, you make an HTTP request and specify several parameters in this request.

At least one of the sender’s and recipient’s numbers should be rented at Apifonica.

What is the character limit for SMS text messages?

Max 160 Latin characters or 70 Unicode characters.

If you include any non GSM-7 characters in your message body, we will automatically fall back to UCS-2 encoding (which will limit message bodies to 70 characters each). Additionally, Apifonica prepends a User Data Header of 6 Bytes (this instructs the receiving device on how to assemble messages), leaving 153 GSM-7 characters or 67 UCS-2 characters for your message.

Does Apifonica support Unicode SMS messages?

Yes, Apifonica supports Unicode text messages.

Does Apifonica support long SMS concatenation?

Yes, long SMS are concatenated into one message.

How can I handle delivery reports for SMS messages?

You can check statuses of the sent messages by means of Apifonica API.

How can I check if all my messages are delivered ?

You can check statuses of the sent messages by means of Apifonica API.

To get the message history, just make a single HTTP request . To check the status of the specific message, get the details via this request .

Does Apifonica support MMS ?

At the moment, Apifonica supports only text(SMS) messages.

What do the message statuses mean?

The following are the possible statuses of a message (the first four status values are consecutive):

Queued—Message is going to be sent.
Sent—Message was sent.
Received—Message was received by your Apifonica number.Works only for inbound messages.
Delivered—Message was delivered to therecipient.
Failed—Message was not delivered to the & nbsp recipient.If this happens, an error message is included in Apifonica request.

Can I receive SMS with my Apifonica number ?
